Help us to maintain an interactive map of our Huon Valley food system

For Huon Valley residents that love our local food, here is a fun and helpful way to get involved with the Huon Valley Food Hub Project. We want to create a map with ALL the places to eat and source locally grown and produced food in our Valley. Everything from restaurants, cafes, farmgates/road side stalls, farmer direct sales, markets, school gardens, retailers, festivals etc etc.

We have started creating the map, however can you help us by adding places you know? Have a read of the simple instructions and lets get mapping!!

Celebrating Huon Valley Seasonal Foods.

We know Tasmanians including, folks who live in the Huon Valley love to eat locally sourced food when they can. During COVID-19 this became even more important to us, because it supports our:

  • local producers and growers,

  • local cafes and restaurants,

  • local markets and farm gates,

  • local events and festivals,

  • and it is fresh, seasonal and tasty.

Eat Well Tasmania has ‘What’s in Season’ lists and lots of recipes and tips on eating seasonally available on their website. Perfect for if you want to savour seasonal and local more often!
